Talking about Saujanya Subba who has already earned a great room in Nepalese audience's hearts in tele-serials, she is struggling hard to establish herself in big cinematic industry. She originally hails from Jhapa, eastern part of Nepal. Having acted in several folk, modern, and pop songs including dozens of music videos, Subba has set herself as a deft artist. What are you engaged in these days?

-I am busy in a film project "Kaslai Diu Yo Jovan" directed by Suresh Darpan Pokhrel right now. Besides, I have also been shooting for other movies.

 Why have you switched to cinemas?

-I have worked for long in tele-serials and music videos. I must give my credit to film producers and directors who trusted on my performance and hard-work. Time has also been favorable in every step of my life paving way for me to this stage.

What difference did you find when acting in tele-serials and cinemas?

- There's no fundamental difference between acting in tele-serials and movies. Playing in television serials gives us access to a larger audience while movies help us become famous celebrities at national level.

What do you enjoy working in?

- Music videos.

How often do you listen to music?

-I spent much time listening to music, mostly sentimental numbers. 

 

Is your tragic conjugal life responsible behind your liking for sad numbers?

- Most probably.

It's been long that you have been divorced with your husband. Haven't you thought of remarriage?

 - I have not given a thought to it yet.

What are your views towards men?

- Men are more guided by patriarchal ideology and thus want to have an upper hand over women. Men can hardly give respect for women.

Have you experienced so in your life?

- yea, what I said is the revelation of my life-experience.

What does "marriage" mean to you ?

- It's nothing but an attraction between two opposite sexes.
