I turn down roles just for appearance: Sharmila

Sharmila Malla, who was once quite busy in producing and acting in films, has made her felt absence in Nepali Film Industry these days. She accepts being off the industry but does not attribute it to the lack of opportunities or financial reasons. 'I've got many offers but not good ones," Sharmila told filmnepal.com, adding, "I turn down roles just for appearance."

However, Sharmila has not made her spirit low. Still in the prime of her beauty despite growing aging, she has is all set to resume film-making again. Saying that recent movies are rather commercial and are based on cheap story-line, she claims she will focus on producing films which will remain in heart and mind of audience for long.

Nepali Film Industry has failed to reach the expected height of development due to lack of seriousness among those indulged in this sector, opines Sharmila. She is of the opinion that she will not take a short-cut while making films but consider on quality aspects to maintain her long-established image as a producer and actresses.
