Loot rocks movie theatre

Kathmandu- At a time when the main mainstream cine makers have been left high and dry due to loss, the film market in the capital have been rocked by different movie. The movie ‘Loot’ that features many new entrants in the industry has been running for the second week with full house.

Loot which is being screened in 10 theatres of the Capital including Kumari and Jaya Nepal apart from outside Kathmandu have made earned over Rs 15 million within two weeks, claims producer Madhav Wagle. 'We have already raised the production cost,' said Wagle, talking to Film Nepal. 'It’s time to earn the profit.'

'We are really excited,' Wagle, probably encouraged by the success, said. 'We realised that the public watch Nepali movie if we could give a new taste.'

It won’t be a mistake to attribute the usage of common day-to-day life language, portrayal of plain shooting spot and chance for new artists for the success of the loot.

Loot revolves around the burning issues such as the increasing ambitious lifestyle of urban life and how those failing to fare better in their ambition would be led astray. The movie deals with the criminal mindset of ambitious people.
